Practice Schedule
After-School Practice (May 20th - June 6th)
Monday-Friday: Swimmers may attend every day
Practice Time Approximate Age Range
4:30 - 5:15pm all 5-6’s (no Hatchlings), less experienced 7-8’s
5:15 - 6:00pm more experienced 7-8's, newer 9-10’s
6:00 - 7:00pm more experienced 9-10’s, newer 11-12’s
7:00 - 8:15pm more experienced 11-12’s, all 13-18’s
Coaches determined practice groups, based on age/swim skill. Coaches assigned lanes: to be shared in team email.
After-School Practice Lane Assignments (TBD)
2025 Season Start
Practice will begin with a staggered start as follows:
Monday, May 19 will be for NEW CGST competitive swimmers (all ages swim 5:00-5:45). This will help new swimmers experience their first practice in smaller groups. There will be a parent Q&A simultaneously. No Hatchlings.
Tuesday, May 20 will be for all swimmers ages 9 and older. Practice schedule above.
Wednesday, May 21-Friday May 30 will be full practice schedule for all competitive swimmers!
No practice, Monday, May 26 (Memorial Day): Normal practices resume Tuesday, May 27
*NOTE: Hatchling Program starts June 9th
Summer Morning Practice (Starts June 9th)
Monday-Friday (w/ Saturday option): swimmers may attend every day
Practice Times Approximate Age Range
7:30 - 8:40am advanced 11-12, all 13-18
8:40 - 9:40am more advanced 9-10, less experienced 11-12
9:40 - 10:30am all 7-8’s, less experienced 9-10’s
10:30 - 11:15am all team 5-6’s (on Thursdays after meets, fun practice with 9:40-10:30)
10:30-11:00am all HATCHLINGS participants (Start date JUNE 10)
Coaches will determine practice groups, based on age/swim skill. CGST will have all 8 lanes for practice.
Summer Afternoon Practice
5:45PM-6:45PM ON MON, TUES, THURS
This option exists on M, T, and TH for working parents unable to get their kids to morning weekday practices, and for kids attending day camps, as space allows. This is not usually an option for 5-6 year olds and not available for Hatchlings. We will attempt to accommodate all that need evenings due to schedule (we have a max of 4 lanes available). A mix of morning and evening practices is best, whenever possible. Coach approval needed to attend these alternate practices for full summer. Summer Saturday Practice (Starts June 14th)
8:30AM-9:30AM FOR 11 AND OLDER SWIMMERS
9:30AM -10:30AM FOR 10 AND UNDER SWIMMERS
These will focus on specific skills, like starts and turns, or similar. Saturday practices are great if your swimmer missed practices during the week or simply likes the routine of daily swimming!
